NEW YORK, NY July 22, 2002 -
Entuity, Inc., a technology pioneer in IT infrastructure
management software, today announced it has secured
$8.5 million in third round funding. New investors
include Mitsubishi Corporation and Gartmore Investment
Limited. The infusion of capital follows Entuity's
strongest sales period to date with the closing of
the second quarter of 2002. Mitsubishi and Gartmore
join a list of prominent Entuity investors already
including LMS Capital, Amadeus Capital Partners, and
Spectrum Equity Investors.
In other news, the company has introduced
version 2.7 of its acclaimed IT infrastructure management
product, Eye of the Storm. The information synergies
derived from fully unified fault, performance and
inventory management create a solution focused on
the mission critical issues of optimizing IT assets
and improving service delivery, while delivering the
market's lowest total cost of ownership and industry-leading
ROI. The latest version includes a groundbreaking
extensible architecture, StormWorks®, for building
configuration files allowing for rapid adoption of
new infrastructure technologies (see press release
"Entuity Adds New Architecture To Eye Of The
Storm" distributed today on BusinessWire).
"While other companies try to
survive, Entuity's momentum builds. They have the
product innovation, business model and personnel to
continue this growth. Furthermore, we are confident
they are in the best position to capitalize on an
economic upswing and emerge as the clear leader in
infrastructure management software," said Christoffel
van Wyk, of Mitsubishi Corporation.
"Entuity is an innovator and
their latest version of Eye of the Storm is again
out-front in defining network management," said
John McConnell, principal of industry analyst firm
McConnell Associates. "They have bridged the
functionality and cost gap between platforms and out-of-the-box,
point solutions. Their new StormWorks architecture
will underpin future versions. All the pieces - vision,
product, management, funding - are in place for Entuity
to have a bright future."
Eye of the Storm 2.7 is a cornerstone
suite unifying fault, performance and inventory management
in a single, integrated package. The solution is highly
regarded for its detailed reporting and robust device
and inventory management. The holistic approach of
performance and inventory data gathering enables true
IT infrastructure resource management, while combined
fault and performance monitoring delivers heightened
service levels -- an area of particular concern for
IT managers facing decreased NOC staffing and budget.
"We consider Mitsubishi and Gartmore's support,
and our recent record quarter, an endorsement of this
company and its potential," said Gerry O'Connell,
CEO of Entuity. "Despite a challenging economy,
we have been able to adhere to our strategy, and as
a result, we are well-positioned to continue to grow
and shape the future of IT infrastructure management."
