COOPERATIVE FINANCIAL SERVICES SELECTS ENTUITY'S EYE OF THE STORM NETWORK MANAGEMENT SUITE
Productivity, Fault Resolution, and Reporting Cited as Key Benefits

Entuity Inc.™, the developer of the Eye of the Storm™ (EYE) integrated network management suite, today announced that Co-operative Financial Services (CFS) has selected EYE for their network management solution. Using EYE, CFS anticipates an increase in network operations productivity, improved fault resolution and diagnostics, and more controlled inventory management and reporting.
CFS embarked on a project to unify its end-to-end infrastructure management technology, with a focus on reliability, management, and visibility into performance and configuration management. Following both FCAPS and TMN models to evaluate half a dozen vendors in the network management market, a major CFS requirement was that any software chosen be 80 percent functional ‘out of the box’ with minimal customization necessary for deployment. At the conclusion of the evaluation, Entuity’s EYE was chosen over other solutions, including major network management frameworks, based on 50 test scenarios and technical hurdles.
“It was critical that the network solution supports our heterogeneous hardware environment, and is easy to use and navigate,“ said Cecil Henry, Core Network Services Manager, ICT networks division of Cooperative Financial Services. “Furthermore, detailed inventory and device location knowledge was critical, as was built-in, extensive and customizable reporting capabilities. Entuity’s Eye of the Storm met the evaluation criteria comprehensively – it bettered the opposition, and it did so by wide margins,” he added.
CFS intends to deploy Eye of the Storm in two phases. In the first phase, it will use Eye of the Storm for all network management within the network operations center in stand-alone mode. In the second phase, it will incorporate EYE within a broader systems management system framework. Eye of the Storm has been architected to be easily integrated with other network ‘manager of managers.’
